FOR SALE PRIVATE TREATY
All of the cattle listed are cake-broke and easy to handle, NO EXCEPTIONS. We pride ourselves on our ability to handle ALL of our cattle with a minimum of labor and stress. All of our cattle are penned horseback at a walk slow and easy ----usually with just two hands. We routinely feed cake to rotate pastures and monitor health.
These cattle are located in various locations in South Texas and are generally centered in the Beeville-George West area. All calves of age are "worked" ---8-way, Synovex C, and steers are knife cut. We also scoop the horns and eartag them - no earmarks.
We own 100% of all the cattle listed with the exception of about 10% that we currently own no less than one-half interest in. This amount will increase over time to as much as 15-20% as we stock some of our "Pasture Partner" ranches in the upcoming months. These relationships are discussed in detail in our "About Us" section. Occasionally, we will list some "Customer Cattle" we are brokering for a fee to some of our valued associates.

11 Santa Gertrudis/Hereford cross 3 yr olds with their 2nd calves at side. This cross is almost impossible to find. If you don't believe me, start looking! 7 will have big black calves at side. The other 4 will be either bred or exposed to have their 3rd calves by Angus bulls. You talk about a high dollar calf at side! On today's market, the steers will be worth $1,050 weighing 650 lbs. and they don't lack much getting there! Study the quality of the black & black baldy heifers at side. They will be worth $950 weighing 600 lbs TO FEED, which would be a crime! Adjusting for replacement value, they'll bring $1050 or more. We have good Angus bulls on them so the pairs should be bred back on the same schedule as the exposed cattle. These cattle are still thin coming out of the South Texas drought, but if we would have waited to advertise them till they got fat, they wouldn't be available! Located on lush wheat pasture south of Waco, Texas and cycling like crazy!

143 head of True F-1 Braford cows bred to M6 Registered Charolais bulls. These cows should start calving in late February and continue for about 90 days. These cows raised a big calf in the middle of this epic drought and got bred back! Excellent quality and disposition. We're very proud of these cows. They will do a great job for anyone that gets them. With adequate pasture and market steady, these cows can raise some $1,000 steers easily. May 2012 feeders are $1.50 - that's $1,125 on a 750 lb. feeder steer! These are the kind of cows that can do it. Calving perfect time of the year to raise a monster calf.
These photos were taken December 1, 2011.

Below is a written and photographic progression of what these cattle have done over the last year.

Above cattle shown below on March 1 with 2011 babies at side and heavy bred.

The 2nd group of cattle was a total herd dispersal we purchased out of the Liberty area and were received the week of February 14th. These cattle are identical except only a few of the cows will be 5 yr olds. Most will be 3 and 4 yr olds. There will even be a few 1st calf heifers with black babies at side. We will have an exact breakdown of the age when we receive them. They are also all dehorned properly and will have a more uniform appearance. Again, we will clean each and every one of them up when we work the babies later this Spring. Color pattern is excellent! All are Tigerstripe motley-faced. These cows are actually calving a little ahead of the 1st group and already have about 40 calves on the ground. These calves are sired by some $5,000 M6 Registered Charolais Bulls and they show it. You talk about good!

Both sets of these cows are located on the Las Joberas (pronounced Lahs Ho-veh-dahs) Ranch, 15 miles Southeast of Laredo,Texas in Webb County. We have just acquired this 10,000 acre lease and the 1st group of cattle were already there and purchased after the lease was agreed upon. The 2nd group matches them perfectly.
UPDATE
PHOTOS TAKEN JULY 25TH
June 14th the calves were full worked (8-way, cynovex-C, horn-scooped, & eartagged (no earmarks). The calves looked like they weighed a good 350 lbs. and bloomy. The heads on the cows were cleaned up and some of the off-colored cattle were taken off leaving 142 head. Even though we have lots of dry, cured buffel grass, this ranch is in a pretty serious drought. Consequently, the bulls were rotated and the cows were put on 2.5 lbs. of cottonseed cake per day in addition to their free choice Mix 30 protein tubs and ADM mineral. The cattle were showing a little stress due to the drought. We are mitigating that with a little additional management and feed. We also put creep feeders up June 16th. The cattle were getting so much nutrition that we have not been able to get the calves to eat creep feed all month! The week of July 15, we are "strutting" the cows by taking the calves off 48 hours. This will make any straggling cows that haven't gotten bred back cycle so we can tighten the breed up. Surely when the calves are in the pen with only water and the creep feeders, they will get on the feed and continue when we turn them back out with their mothers. Here's hoping! This is an extremely valuable calf crop. We've been told these calves could easily bring $1.40 this Fall weighing 675 lbs. Could that be possible? $945/hd! Cheap at $1,850/pair!
